Our second vintage, 2022, is now in the bottle! 2022 was another great year for Cabernet Sauvignon in Napa Valley, and we again were able to source some of the best fruit in the world to make Radical Two. We recently completed bottling, and the wines will rest for a bit in bottle. Look for a release later in 2025.
This year, we are excited to be able to bring to you three different Cabernet-based wines! First, our Radical Two 2022 is a blend from the same two sources as the 2019, and we expect this wine to meet, or exceed, the great reception we had for our first wine. We also made a small amount of wine sourced solely from Howell Mountain, called . Our third wine is our most limited selection, with fewer than 25 cases produced. It is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced from the famous Vine Hill Ranch vineyard. This vineyard produces fruit for some of the most iconic, expensive wines made in Napa Valley. Some of this fruit is blended into our Radical Two, and it was so good that we just had to make a small single vineyard bottling. This single vineyard bottling is called Radical Two Irrational.
In the meantime, we still have a limited supply of Radical Two 2019 available. This wine now has a little age and is really beginning to enter its prime. In making these wines, our goal was to produce a wine that would drink well in its youth, but also displayed structure and balance to age and improve for many years. It’s clear that we achieved that effort; this wine is drinking beautifully now and will last, and improve, for several more years to come.
